Hi, I'm a student at FH Technikum-Wien (Vienna, Austria) and about to wirte my diploma thesis in robotics and mechatronics. For this thesis I want to evaluate some algorithms for saliency map creation, with the focus on finding optimisation potential through parallelization. One Algorithm will later be implemented using CUDA, a plattform from Nvidia which allows parallel prozessing on the video card. Thanks in advance, David Kargl mr08m031@technikum-wien.at |

Hi, my name is Artur I am an undergraduate student at Ryerson university at Toronto, Canada. I am currently working on my final project which is an attention based video camera. I am really happy that I found this resource, b/c it closely relates to my project. I would like to use the sample source code that is provided in here to develop my own algorithms and programs so that I can use in my own projects. Thanks, regards Artur |

Dear Dr. Itti : My name is Marco Sánchez, i'm from Mexico. I am a graduate student at Centro de Investigación Cientifica y de Estudios Superiores de Ensenada, Baja California. I read your papers about visual attention, and our research plan is about apply evolutionary techniques to his model. in this moment i have a question I understand the code and how I would apply evolutionary algorithms, but still can't define a function that allows to know when an answer is better than another without having to detect objects Thank you so much! for your attention Email: marcosanchezd@hotmail.com sanchezd@cicese.mx Best regards, Marco |

Dear Dr. Itti, we would like to access the source code to install the software on our native linux workstation. We at the Joint Research Centre in Ispra, Italy, are interested in testing saliency maps in the context of visual and automatic interpretation of earth observation data. Thanks a lot in advance and best regards, Pierre Soille and Roberta Castoldi |

hi, I would like to ask for the source code, because I've heard from a professor that GIST has nice performance on matching jobs. I wanna compare the performance of GIST with that of SIFT on normal objects (instead of scene) to see which one is more suitable for object matching. My contact information is: email : ugtony@yahoo.com.tw thanks a lot. |

| Hi, I'm requesting this code as part of an attempt to try out a fellow researcher's video analysis system; specifically, I'm looking to apply it to high-frequency sonar (~900kHz) imaging videos to see if we can't make something automatically identify what's in the image. The Neuromorphic Vision Toolkit is a fundamental component of the aforementioned system, and so, I'm making a request to obtain the source necessary. The best way of contacting me is via email, dburne@sandia.gov. Here's hoping this forum doesn't get scraped and my email added to some list somewhere... |

I am Gamhewage C. de Silva, an Asst. Professor in Multimedia at the University of Tokyo. I am investigating the possibility of using saliency maps for more efficient image retrieval, For this purpose, I would like to have access to the source code of the C++ Neuromorphic Toolkit. All the outcomes of this research will be published as open literature. If you have further questions, please let me know. Sincerely, Gamhewage C. de Silva http://chamin.info |
