Dear Prof Itti,

This is Maya from Georgia Tech, I'm a PhD student in Robotics and I'm working with Andrea Thomaz on social learning of object affordances. We are interested in using your saliency-map software to investigate how human teachers point out features of an object that are relevant to its affordances.

My email address is maya@cc.gatech.edu
Thank you in advance, regards

Dear Prof Itti,

My name is Nguyen Vu Anh. Currently I'm a PhD student in Nanyang Tech University, Singapore. My topic is on cognitive visual understanding, specifically on biologically-inspired visual navigation system for unmanned vehicle.

It's very pleased if I can access to the source code, primarily for testing of object learning and tracking for robust navigation.

Regards,
AnhNV

Hello,

I enjoy mathematics and matlab / c++ and would like to see how your models generally work and can be a applied to a number of potential applications.

Thanks !

Hello!

I am a PH.D student from china. We would like to build a computational model of object recognition based on biologic principle. Now, I am making my first steps in trying to code a model of the retina and searching the web for examples of similar codes .

Look forward to hearing from you,

My name is Eric Rombokas.

I'm working in object recognition with intel research and  brain-computer interfaces with the neural systems group at University of Washington. ( http://neural.cs.washington.edu/ ).  I'm interested in using saliency and/or attention for these applications, but I'm also just interested in mechanisms of consciousness.

Dear Laurent Itti :

I am a lecturer at the Department of Navigation, Shanghai Maritime University, China.
One of my research areas is small object recognition
for life searching and saving on the sea .
I would like to compare your visual attention model with my own computational model and also with some data we've got.

 Thanks
