Hello,

I'm an AI student and i'm working on my master thesis. For my thesis I want to implement a saliency detection system on micro-robots. I have already build a low level saliency detection module, partly using integral images, which i want to expand.

Kind regards,
Ted Schmidt

Hi,
my name is Eleonora Vig and I am a PhD student in Erhardt Barth's group in Luebeck, Germany. We are working on prediction and guidance of gaze - see http://www.gazecom.eu, but you, Laurent, might be familiar with this project anyway . We would like to run a comparative analysis of our prediction scheme with state-of-the-art algorithms.

Thanks & regards,
Eleonora

Hello,

My name is John-Paul Lobos and I am Ph.D student in the Mobile Robotics Lab at McGill University. I am interested in applying your Bayesian surprise technique to vision-based robotics applications such as localization and SLAM.

Thank-you

Hi,
I'm computer science student from Hannover (Germany) - I would like to see what can be done with this toolkit (besides crashing it on my n810 ). Would be happy to checkout the sources . Besides playing around, I'm interested in artificial vision for some autonomous robotic experiments.
Bye,
Martin

Dear Dr. Itti:

I'm a PhD candidate in Johns Hopkins neuroscience program.  I'm starting my first lab rotation with Dr. Ernst Niebur.  I'm interested in the saliency mapping implementation.

Thanks,
Jonathan

Dear Itti,
Hello!!!
My name is Jia-Yuan Yu, and I just started doing my MD in Computer Science at National Taiwan University, Taiwan. I'm interested in attention based vision systems and have read some of your papers. It was very interesting to read them and to see the demos and movies at your homepage! Now I'd like to use your source code to start some tests and experiments on my own. I'd be glad, if you could give me access to the code.
My email-adress is oeoeoeooeo@gmail.com

Best greetings,
Jia Yuan

Dear Dr. Itti,

My name is Reza Rad. I recently contacted Dr. Niebur (from JHU) regarding possible postdoctoral research. He suggested selective visual attention based on saliency as a potential area and mentioned that you have a C++ package that implements it. I wonder if I can get access and explore it.

Greetings,

I am interested in applying my experience with CUDA and OpenCL to the existing code base.  I wish to have the ability to perform testing, submit changes, update documentation etc.

Sincerely,

Hi,

I am investigating attention in dynamic scenes and would like to see how your toolbox performs.  I only require anon access to the Saliency Toolbox.  Thank you very much!

Dear Laurent Itti

I just started my PhD in University of Surrey, UK. My research area is about video interaction. I have read some papers from you, it is helpful and interesting. The computational modelling for visual attention is important in video interaction.   I would like to use your source code to do some programming and experiment on my own.

I am looking forward to hearing from you
Thank you very much, sorry for any inconvenience

Best Regards
