Hello,

My name is Yuan Sun and I am studying for my Computer Science PhD at Institue of Computing Technology GUCAS in China. I am trying to recreate some of the work of
Christian Siagian who integrated source codes  to the iLab Neuromorphic Vision C++ Toolkit.

Like Siagian I am looking into using visual cues to do some road scene understanding work for driving assistance. I would like to use GIST/context feature extractor to do a quick recognization of some basic cues of a scene.

My email is: sunyuan841212@gmail.com. Thankyou for your time and I am looking forward to your response.

Hello Dr. Itti,

Thank you for providing this forum and the iNVT toolkit.

I am helping to set up the iNVT system to operate on a computing cluster we have within our group.  Our cognitive radio program researchers are interested in evaluating their work within your framework, as well as processing data and video at real-time or faster.

Please allow me to access the source code and to ask questions as needed to get everything working.

Thanks and Best Regards,

-bogdan

Dear Dr. Itti,

Source Code Access Requests:

My name is Xun Shi, and I am a PhD student at York University, Canada. Right now, I am doing some comparisons of several saliency models. Of course, how could it be a good work without comparing with Itti et al 1998 and the surprise model. So I am asking for the access to your toolkit. Please grant me with an account.

Thanks

name: Xun Shi
email: shixun@cse.yorku.ca

Sincerely,

Xun

Hello,

my name is Isabell and I just started my PhD at the University of Melbourne.
Although I'm not sure what exactly my research is going to be about, I started looking into saliency models and read some intriguing papers by you and your co-workers.
Now I'd like to experiment with your model (on video sequences but also static images) and maybe also compare it to other models I have found. (Although I know that has already been done.) That"s why I would like to have access to the source code.
I know that's not very much detail about my work at the moment, but I'll let you know when I know what I will focus on.

Thanks in advance!
Isabell

Hi,
I'm working on my master thesis at the TU Munich.  I would like to use your visual-saliency code to guide a robot in urban environment.
I'd be glad, if you could give me access to the code.

Thanks in advance,
Bernhard

Good day,

My name is Jacob Romijn, I'm a computer science student at Rotterdam University.
Currently I am working on a research project about image retargeting and would like to apply saliency maps to the retargeting process.

I would be much obliged if I could get access to the saliency map source code in C++ to achieve this.

Best regards,
Jacob

Hello,

I am Kotaro Nagahama and I am a PhD student at The University of Tokyo, Japan.
I am working at a research on a visual tracking system for humanoids learning daily tasks.
I am interested in applying the saliency map to the initial selection of objects for the tracking system.
I would be grateful if you could give me an access to your code.
Thank you for your cooperation.

Sincerely,
Kotaro Nagahama

Hi,

I would like to have access to the source code. I am a graduate student from the Technical University of Eindhoven, The Netherlands and I am very interested to use saliency detection for visual applications. We are trying to see how fast it will be in embedded platforms.

My contact information is: s.h.wang@student.tue.nl

Thank you in advance.

I just started doing my Computer Science at Fraunhofer Institute for Autonomous Intelligent Systems in Bonn, Germany. I'm interested in attention based vision systems and have read some of your papers. It was very interesting to read them and to see the demos and movies at your homepage! Now I'd like to use your source code to start some tests and experiments on my own. I'd be glad, if you could give me access to the code.

Hi! I'm a graduate student at the University of Tennessee who does research in biologically inspired visual object recognition, specifically on the feature learning and representation stages. I'm interested in the iNVT toolkit as these stages in recognition rely heavily upon both attention selection and the pre-processing of images and seek to learn more about how existing methods handle attention tasks through saliency as well as how the features are represented for later classification inside of iNVT.

Thanks for providing your source code!

Dear Dr. Itti,

My name is Yuya Utsumi. I'm a graduate student at Akita Prefectural University. My study is scene classification using Gist and local feature.
Im very interested in Saliency map. So, I want to examine bottom-up visual attention using Sailency map for improving my study. Your source code might help me a lot.

Thank you very much,
Utsumi.

Dear Sir

Firstly I am thankful for your website. I am a PHD Candidate in the university of UTM Malaysia. My project is improving the security attack of graphical password authentication. Right now many research done using your idea. Can I ask to have source code so that I know what can I done to improve the vulnerability to dictionary attack. Your help is much appreciate.

The iLab C++ Neuromorphic Vision Toolkit and most other iLab source code are maintained under SVN control. We kindly request that you register with this web site in order to gain access to the full source code and online documentation (see instructions below). Once you are registered, you will be able to download the full toolkit and keep it current through anonymous SVN download and update. I am impressed by the quality of information on this website. There are a lot of good resources here. I am sure I will visit this place again soon.
