Hi,
I'm doing vision algorithm evaluation in conjunction
with several projects. I'm requesting source code
access so thar I can include the bottom up saliency based visual attention algorithm.  The evaluation will include
an analysis of the algorithm's suitability for migration to
FPGA, on a stereo vision processing evaluation system that we are setting up.

My e-mail address is rayk@pontimax.com.

Thanks,

Ray Keating

Hey Ray

We've done a project on Saliency on an FPGA at Caltech. The final result isn't published yet, but we had an article on this in the Neuromorphic Engineer:
http://ine.ini.unizh.ch/newsletter.html

It's in vol. 1, #2, page 9. You may want to get in touch with Nachiket.

Dear Laurent Itti

I feel an interest in the field of FOA for natural landscape scene. For determining the visual attention region of natural landscape scene, So, I'd like to use your source code to learn.
Thank you very much and I am looking forward to your response.

Hi there

Please could I request access to the source code? I am interested in automatic ROI detection, and would like to improve my understanding of the techniques you have developed.

Thanks very much for your help - my email is sam.davies@bris.ac.uk

Dr. Itti,

I am a graduate student at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.  I have been studying the binding problem and neuronal synchronization and my professor suggested that I look at some of the work that you have been doing.  As such, I would greatly appreciate access to your source code.

Thank you for your time,

Request for access to source code

Hi,

My name is Ashok Balasubramanian and I am a graduate student in engineering at the University of Hawaii.  I am into networking and hardware, but  I am investigating object recognition systems for a class project on image processing and hence my interest in saliency maps and NVT.  I also came across a model of selective attention called SAFE that provides comparisons with NVT.  I wanted to run some experiments on my own and get a better understanding of the NVT.

Thanks,
Ashok

Hi,

i am a graduate student from China . recently i have been
focusing on the research on computer vision and object recognition and realy glad to find that you have done so much work on these areas .
i'd rather choose your code as a powerful and facility tool to test my algorithm and quicken my research on object recognition .
many thanks for your efforts .

Hi, again!

I read the message about how to gain access to the source code, and post a request again.

I am a PhD student, and at this point developing a saliency based visual attention model, with high level features in combination with low level ones. For low level ones if possible I would like to try the iLab bottom-up saliency model. What my plans are for further development depends on the results I obtain. I will validate and modify my models with eye-tracking data, and if I find ways to improve the iLab model with that I will definately do so, and I would be very happy to contribute with code if appreciated.

Hello!

My name is Christos Diou and I am a PhD student at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. I am interested in models of the "top-down" visual analysis path. I try to understand how measurements and features (context independent) can be given a "semantic" interpretation and how this interpretation can affect subsequent processing (esp. in dynamic environments).

I found your work on saliency-based visual attention to be very interesting and I would be grateful if you granted me access to the source code, for the following reasons:
1. I would like to test your methods so that I can acquire a more in-depth understanding of what I have read from your publications.
2. The code could prove very useful for my work.
3. By browsing the class list from the library documentation, I was given the impression that the Brain class can easily be extended to model a very wide class of visual processing systems (not necessarily restricted to the HVS). Hence the code could serve as a very general experimentation platform.

Thank you very much.

Hello
My name is Takeru Terada. I want to make a model of human-like memory system and it involves visual attention. so i want to test your code and get some idea from your bottom-up model.
Thanks.
