We wanted to do the assembly locally. So, we use the [http://www.thomasnet.com/southern-california/printed-circuit-boards-pcb-5970603-1.html| ThomasNet] directory. We type in “Printed Circuit Boards (PCB)” for product/service and specify “California - SOuthern” for the area. [http://www.zoominfo.com/Industries/electronics-mfg/electronic-components/pcb-assembly.htm Zoominfo] may also be useful. We also googled “Assembly pcb los angeles”.
We found a few and made a few phone calls:

* [http://www.screamingcircuits.com Screaming Circuits assembly]
* [http://www.basicinc.com/contact.htm Basic Electronics]
* [http://www.boardassembly.com/ ACME PCB assembly]
* [http://www.compudraft.com/index.htm Compudraft Engineering]
* [http://millerdial.com/pc-system-boards.shtml Miller Dial]
* [http://www.deltechnology.com/assembly.html DEL technology Application]
* [http://www.4pcbassembly.com/contact.html Assembly House Incorporated (AHI)]
We decided on the AHI (the last on the list) because they got back to us so quickly with a competitive quote of $250 for both the stencil as well as the assembly. As a comparison, the same stencil would cost $240 if purchased from Advanced Circuits, our PCB manufacturing of choice.
